Brr's Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream
The most delicious homemade vanilla ice cream recipe. Also serves as a great base recipe for building additional flavors of ice cream.

- 3 Cups Heavy Cream
- 3 Large Egg Yolks*
- 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
- 1 Tbsp arrow root powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Mix Ingredients
Whisk all the ingredients together in a bowl. Don't whisk too quickly, you don't want to add a lot of air to the mixture.

Add to ice cream maker
Pour the ingredient mixture into your ice cream maker while it is running. Run the mixer until the ice cream thickens up, about 20-30min, depending on the size of your ice cream maker and how much ice cream you're making.
Notes
- Up to two cups of the heavy cream can be substituted for whole milk. The final result will just be a less creamy, closer to a sorbet consistency.
- The arrow root powder can be 1:1 substitute for cornstarch.
- To add some special pizzazz, add half a vanilla bean (scrape out the seeds).
